White moves first. Move pieces one at a time to checkmate the opponent's king. A king with no legal moves while in check is checkmate — game over.

🎓 Special Moves

• CastlingWhen neither king nor rook has moved and no pieces stand between them, move the king two squares toward the rook (O-O / O-O-O).
• En PassantAfter your pawn reaches the 5th rank, it may capture an enemy pawn that just moved two squares beside it.
• PromotionA pawn reaching the last rank automatically promotes to a queen.
